Footpath by Thai Restaurant
| |
There has been an apparent blockage of what had been taken by many of us to be a useful pedestrian short cut
down the side of the Thai Restaurant opposite the Civic Hall. HTAG has been concerned about this and did
object at the time of the restaurant planning application, on the basis that this was an established path. Click
here to see the letter sent by HTAG.
If enough people claim to have used the route for 20 years then we could have a go at getting it adopted as a
right of way. We are also trying to persuade SCC to negotiate adoption of the path, but they are cutting the
money for footpaths. We need your support!

Country Walks
| |
Beat the heat - come and join them on a wonderful walk on Saturday, especially designed and adapted for the current
heat wave, most of the route winding through shady woodlands with dappled sunlight dancing through the trees and
illuminating the paths. In the woodlands it's surprisingly cool, particularly when a breeze blows across the hilltops.
However, it is essential that you bring at least 1 litre of drinking water and don't forget the sun cream! For more
information visit
their website. Another date for your diary: Thursday 3 August, the last evening walk takes place at
Brockham - further details on the website.
