Chantries
There will be a walk in the Chantries tomorrow (Tuesday, 9 January) starting at 10.00 am from the Chantries car park to discuss possible future work in the woods, eg putting in fences, seats, gates etc but also extending the car park and providing a new access road. The latter are contentious and local opinion is important. If you can attend please send an e-mail to sally.j.mcdonald@guildford.gov.uk. I apologise for the short notice.

FamilyLine Surrey
We have received the following from Tracy Pizzanelli, Volunteer Co-ordinator of FamilyLine Surrey: -
I am writing to you today to ask for your support as we urgently need to expand our existing team of helpline volunteers, and we are particularly keen to recruit new volunteers in time for our next training programme, which is due to commence the week of 22 January. FamilyLine Surrey is a charity that offers a freephone confidential telephone helpline to families in Surrey who are experiencing difficulties and are desperately in need of someone to talk to. Last year we successfully extended our weekday daytime helpline hours into the evenings, thus enabling many more families to access the help they need. Helpline volunteers, once fully trained, may choose whether they wish to work from our Dorking base or their own homes. This flexibility in location often appeals to many more people as volunteers may find it difficult to get to our offices or simply prefer to work from home. If you require any further information about FamilyLine Surrey please do not hesitate to contact me on our administrative telephone number 01306 - 743 233 and please feel free to look at our website . Thank you, Tracy Pizzanelli, Volunteer Co-ordinator
