The following has been received from the HTAG Chairman, Stephen Wright, regarding Global Warming: -
"I believe it is no longer possible to doubt the evidence that the Earth is warming quite rapidly. It is most likely due to the
accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere but even if it isn't greenhouse gases are aggravating the problem and their
emission is due to human activity." To read on click

"Climate change is inevitable. It always has been. And it's mostly due to the sun's activity. After becoming much
more active during the 20th century, the sun now stands at a high but roughly level state of activity. Solar physicists
warn of possible global cooling, should the sun revert to the lazier mood it was in during the Little Ice Age 300
years ago." To read on click

Obituary of Russell Chamberlin
| |
This obituary of Russell Chamberlin appeared in The Times on Friday, 26 January, 2007. The author of more than
40 books and articles in magazines (The Spectator, History Today) and newspapers (including The Times), Russell
Chamberlin was, in spite of his professorial air, almost completely self-taught. He left school at 14 to become
an apprentice leather dresser in Norwich, a job he hated. He then worked in a shop. The Second World War saved him
from that. To read on click
