Gaye Hebard has been a self employed dressmaker for 23 years. All her work is by word of mouth. She believes she is lucky to be able to make a living from something which she is passionate about. She strongly believes the inside of her work should be as neat as the outside.

She loves the variety of being able to do all aspects of bridal wear to daywear, as well as house interiors. Every bride is different and they all have the dress of their dreams, whether plain and simple in pure silk or with embroidery and/or beading with Swarovski cut glass crystal beads.

Bridesmaids range from tiny children through to adults and a lot of the dresses can actually be worn again. A popular choice at the moment is corset tops, all boned and some with crystal detailing for brides or bridesmaids, and complemented with a choice of skirt style.

Gaye also loves doing house interiors very much. She does all forms of window treatments, from curtains and blinds through to seat covers, chair pads, bed coronets, bed linen, cushions and bean bags etc. She has done many houses locally, in London, and further afield. She finds it rewarding working with beautiful fabrics and "dressing a room".
